Fancy having a break in a rustic 140-year old cottage in the historic Mpumalanga town of Wakkerstroom with plenty of space for the whole family?

Pioneer Cottage has a history going back to the Boer War, has been modernised and now has four bedrooms and four bathrooms – three with showers and the fourth with a bath.

The cottage is self-catering and is fully equipped for eight people. Bedding, towels, crockery and cutlery are all supplied and there is a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, TV and DVD/CD player. The TV is not connected to DSTV.

A large garden is perfect for children to play in and pets are welcome by arrangement as long as guests clean any mess they make before leaving.

Wakkerstroom is an interesting town and a very popular and internationally acclaimed birding area. It is unique in that wetlands, forests and mountains are all found in the area. The cottage has a lovely view of the Spitskop Mountain.
