Each year, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. Our Ash Wednesday service is penitential and reflective in nature; focusing our heart’s on repentance and prayer, usually through personal and communal confession.

You will be invited to receive the ashes on your forehead. Brian will dip his finger into the ashes, spread them in a cross pattern on your forehead, and say, “From dust you came and from dust you will return.”

The ashes symbolize two main things: death and repentance; they are made from the burned and blessed palms of the previous year’s Palm Sunday.

We do hope you will start your Lenten journey with us; join us for 6pm at our offices within Prma Gayla; 1 Terrace Road, Eastleigh, Edenvale.
